Description: This stepdaughter has a sex life that’s getting a little out of hand. Her stepfather is worried that she’s being too promiscuous and that it could be a danger to her health. She comes to visit him in family therapy to try and work through some of these issues. He is concerned for her well-being, and it breaks his heart to think that she might be taking risks that could harm her. She is very defiant and resistant to the idea that she needs guidance on how to handle men. She insists that she knows exactly what she is doing, and that she doesn’t need anyone to help her. But as the stepfather continues to express his concerns, it’s clear that there might be some underlying emotional pain driving her behavior. He just wants what’s best for her, and hopes that she will come around to seeing things his way.
